Dance has been a part of Tina’s life since she began taking her first steps. As a child she trained in jazz and ballroom dance, specializing in mambo.
One day later in life, serendipity brought her into a Latin dance club, and her life changed completely. Tina fell in love with the experience—madly, deeply—marking the beginning of a wonderful career. She soon began directing a performance team for 5 seasons and now has her own team “Next Level” where Latin Dance is fused with all different styles of street dance. Since then, she has traveled the country performing, teaching, and training in various forms—including Salsa, bachata, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and African dancing.
As a queer female lead, follow, and solo dancer, she has become a major advocate for individual empowerment and expression. Tina strives to give her students the technical foundation they need and to inspire them to explore individual creativity. Passion, energy, and connection are inseparable elements of her performances and social dancing. Each day inspires her to push the limits of Latin dance in her choreography while forever remaining an open-minded student.
