Q:
What are the accommodation options?
A:

This event is Labor Day weekend at The W Hotel in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. The room block rate is $199 and you can sleep however many you want but if you put more than 2 when booking the rate will be $230. The rooms will sell out fast, after that, room rates will jump to the regular rate at about $500. Update, our room block sold out, please click on the overflow hotel link

Q:
Is there food at the hotel?
A:

Yes, there are multiple restaurants in the hotel within walking distance. If you are on a budget, it is advisable to stock up on food in advance.

Q:
How much is parking?
A:

Valet services for the Hotel are provided by Towne Park at a cost of $42.00/per day for overnight parking or $10 per day
Monday through Friday and $20 Saturday and Sunday for daily parking. Restaurant validation will be provided at a cost of
$10. These prices are subject to applicable state tax, currently 7.00%, and do not include any valet attendant gratuities. If you want to pay the day rate, let them know you are coming to the event not staying at the hotel. Carpooling is also encouraged.

What airport should I fly in to?
A:

The hotel is about 15 min from the Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL) and 35-45 min from Miami Airport (MIA)

What are the dance styles?
A:

Sensual Bachata Fusion, Urban Kizomba Fusion and Zouk Fusion.

Q:
Will there be separate rooms and DJs for each dance style?
A:

Yes, there will be 3 separate rooms and DJs.

Q:
What covid-19 precautions are taking place at the event?
A:

It’s very important to us that both the artist and attendees feel safe! Due to the uptick in the Delta COVID variant, we decided to provide free COVID antibody testing, prior to entry, the test is a quick prick or swab whichever is preferred, it only takes a couple of minutes. This will allow a greater number of artists and attendees to safely participate, making the quality of the event even better and safer! We are also purchasing air purifiers and adhering to local COVID protocols. There will be no required masks or proof of vaccination.

Do you provide refunds?
A:

All tickets are non-refundable and labeled as such purchasing page & on the ticket. However, if for some reason you are unable to attend we will honor the ticket at any future events including the Los Angeles Dance Fusion Festival or the Miami Dance Fusion Festival. In addition, you may sell your ticket for a free transfer, simply message the Facebook page provide the full name and email of the new ticket holder.

Should I buy a full pass or master pass, and how do I upgrade?
A:

A full pass is appropriate for all levels and gets you access to all the instructors, parties, and events. Classes are just like any other event, they DO NOT include the Masterclasses. The Master pass includes all regular classes and Masterclasses. It is for advanced dancers, instructors, or anyone who wants to be challenged at a high level. These will move fast and may have counts of up to 32 as well as complex patterns. The masterclasses will be taught by our top instructors. You can upgrade any pass type at the door

How may I sign up to perform and can the performance be in any genre?
A:

Yes, all performances over 4 people are welcome, any under will need be on a case by case basis. Please go to the Facebook page and send in your request.

Q:
I am an instructor interested in teaching at the event?
A:

If you think you fit one of the 3 specific dance styles, go to the Facebook page and send in your demo, work experience and explain how you might be able to add value. If there is an opening or need, you may be considered.

Q:
Do you accept volunteers in exchange for a full pass?
A:

Yes, there are many positions available, setting up, breaking down, marketing, picking up and driving artists, general operations, etc. Please go to the Facebook page to request a volunteer position.

Q:
Are you taking taxi dancers?
A:

Yes, national and international taxi dancers are welcome but there will be a limit and a required min of 2 hours of dancing each night as a taxi.
